Directions to Liverpool John Lennon Airport by car:

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is conveniently located close to the region’s motorway network with links to the M57, M62 and M56 motorways, providing good road access for passengers travelling from throughout the North West, North Wales and beyond.
For Sat-Nav users, the postcode to use for Liverpool John Lennon Airport is L24 1YD. However, the airport is very well signposted and drivers should follow the road signage to access the car parks and drop off areas.

Travelling from the North / North-East / East
Travel on the M6 southbound to junction 21A with M62. Please note that junction 21A is a split junction, and motorists should ensure they come off at the slip road signposted Liverpool. Follow M62 West until junction 6, and then take the roundabout's 2nd exit onto the A5300 (Knowsley Expressway). At the end of the Knowsley Expressway, turn right at the roundabout, and merge onto the A561 (Speke Boulevard). Follow the A561 until the junction with Speke Hall Avenue, and then turn left, following signs to the airport. This route is not subject to tolls.

Travel to Liverpool Airport by train:

 

Liverpool South Parkway is the closest rail station to Liverpool John Lennon Airport and is located approximately 3 miles from the airport itself. Transport is available between the airport and the rail station via the 80A and 86A bus services which operate up to every 20 mins. For bus timetables, please click here.

The station is also easily accessible from elsewhere in the country and has direct rail links to Warrington, Cheshire, Manchester, Yorkshire, East Midlands, West Midlands, East Anglia and connections to London Euston services at Runcorn or Crewe.

The opening of the Halton Curve line in 2019 has also greatly improved public transport access between the Airport, North West Cheshire and North Wales, with direct services between Chester and Liverpool South Parkway, and one-change services from Llandudno Junction, Shrewsbury and Wrexham General.

In December 2022, TransPennine Express services will also call at Liverpool South Parkway, enabling passengers from Cleethorpes, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Sheffield and Manchester to travel direct to Liverpool South Parkway.

Northern – for services between Manchester, Warrington and Liverpool South Parkway.
